Sailing Dinghies - The Lily Class

 

The Lily Class are Butler & Co’s hand crafted,

lug rigged clinker built sailing dinghies.They are of a standard 10ft 6inches in length but can be tailored to suite individual preferences.Whether they are used as yacht tenders for rowing or sailing adventures they are very special to look at and a joy to sail – fast, well balanced and well behaved.

 

Ashley adds, “I wanted to design and build a traditional clinker dinghy of authentic proportions derived from Claude Worth’s Yacht Cruising published 1934 and inspired by my memories of listening to my father read Arthur Ransom’s evocative tales of Swallows and Amazons. I feel thrilled to see my client’s excitement at the delivery of their new boats, and delighted that my children are now learning to row in Peggy B on the river Dart”.
